Myler 3-Ring Combination Correctional Ported Bit
Combination Bits offer simultaneous interaction of the mouthpiece, curb strap and noseband. When rein pressure is applied or released, the bit automatically disperses or releases pressure to the horse's mouth, chin, nose and poll. Because pressure is dispersed, the bits offer succint and effective, yet very humane communication, allowing the rider to use less pressure than needed with a traditional bit.
Curved mouthpiece with two hinges and slightly upward-curved center piece with a barrel. Port measures 1 1/4". Combines tongue and bar pressure, collapsing on the outside of bars, and Independent Side Movement. Allows the rider to isolate one side of the bit to lift a shoulder and rewards a horse with a “comfort zone” when relaxed at the poll. A good bit for collection and stopping, as well as for spoiled horses, horses which run through the bit and those which drop a shoulder.
