Myler Correctional Low Port Barrel Dee Bit with Hooks
2 Hooks are located on the Dee Rings. Hooks fix attachment of reins and headstall and allow bit to work like a leverage bit. When reins are pulled upward and backward, mouthpiece rolls downward and backward into the mouth while pulling downward on the poll.
Curved mouthpiece with two hinges and slightly upward-curved center piece with a barrel. Port measures 1 1/2". Combines tongue and bar pressure, collapsing on the outside of bars, and Independent Side Movement. Allows the rider to isolate one side of the bit to lift a shoulder and rewards a horse with a “comfort zone” when relaxed at the poll. A good bit for collection and stopping, as well as for spoiled horses, horses which run through the bit and those which drop a shoulder.
