The Point Two Hybrid is a combination of the Point Two ProAir Jacket and the World’s leading Jockey Vest from Hows RaceSafe.
The Hybrid is able to offer the rider the very best of both products, by combining them into one easy to use, lightweight and comfortable vest. The Hybrid Air Jacket (AKA P2-RS) inflates at speeds of up to 0.093 of a second, to provide enhanced protection to all the major thoracic and upper abdominal organs, the spine and the collar of the neck. It also helps guard against crushing injuries in the event of a rotational fall. Unlike the original Point Two ProAir Jacket, the Point Two Hybrid Air Jacket combines two vests, making it unnecessary to wear a separate eventing vest underneath. Waffle-like lining protects you during impact combined with the air bags that are released in the vest when the lanyard is detached.
The rider simply slips on the jacket and, when mounted, a narrow lanyard connects the saddle with the jacket. Should the rider be separated from the saddle, the lanyard will pull the activation key from the jacket, triggering a mechanism to release CO2 into the airbag system. The jacket inflates, encapsulating the rider's trunk and collar area of the neck before he or she hits the ground, providing shock absorption on impact. At an inflation rate of 0.1 of a second, it is the fastest air jacket in the world.
As well as the obvious protection from shock absorption, the jacket distributes pressure and above all, effectively supports the spinal column so that the neck and trunk have limited movement.
The elasticated lanyard allows the rider complete freedom of movement, and will activate the inflation mechanism only when the rider is separated from the horse.
Includes two compressed air canister (not reusable) and all accessories needed to use the jacket (lanyard, straps, etc.). Additional canisters may be purchased for $27.50 each.

Note: The pressurized canisters cannot be shipped via air, as they are considered hazardous cargo for commercial transport purposes. While VTO maintains a stock of the vests and canisters, online orders will be drop shipped directly to you by Point Two USA, LLC. Please note that a signature may be required to receive the package, so it may be preferential to designate a place of business as the shipping address if no one will be at your home to accept delivery.
*If you already have a canister or access to a canister, you can order the vest without any canisters (the vest will not come with a canister installed). This may result in a faster delivery time, as the vest with no canister can be delivered by air.
